Responsibilities
Design and build scalable backend services using Node.js and TypeScript within a modern, event-driven architecture
Collaborate cross-functionally to deliver customer-facing features and internal tools that support ecommerce, fulfillment, and customer care
Own features end-to-end, from design and implementation to deployment, monitoring, and iteration
Contribute to frontend experiences across the ecommerce site and internal admin tools using modern JavaScript frameworks
Integrate with and optimize third-party platforms including Shopify, NetSuite, Celigo, and WMS/IMS systems
Help evolve our microservices and serverless infrastructure using AWS (Lambda, SQS/SNS, Kinesis)
Participate in sprint planning, code reviews, and architectural discussions, while mentoring peers and sharing best practices
Support production systems by improving observability, reliability, and incident response
Qualification
Required
5+ years of professional software engineering experience
Strong proficiency in Node.js, TypeScript, and modern backend design patterns
Frontend experience with HTML/CSS, JavaScript, and frameworks such as React
Solid experience with SQL and NoSQL data stores
Hands-on experience building distributed, event-driven systems on AWS
Familiarity with API-first development, third-party integrations, and internal tooling
Comfortable working autonomously in a fast-paced, collaborative environment with strong communication skills
