Qualification
Required
PhD in mechanical engineering, aerospace engineering, or a closely related engineering or science discipline
Ability to teach existing courses related to the candidate's discipline
A strong publication record and the potential to succeed in securing research funding and mentoring students
Excellent written and oral communication skills
Preferred
Areas of expertise include machine design, robotics, cloud-based engineering, and industry-informed capstone project design and leadership
College-level teaching experience
Teaching experience in an online environment
Evidence of research experience in educational pedagogy
Experience with active military and veterans
Past work experience in a national research lab and/or industry
Experience with ABET
Experience or training in student mentoring
Record of interdisciplinary collaboration
