Healthcare Data Engineer
New Jersey Innovation Institute is looking for a Healthcare Data Engineer. The role involves designing and maintaining data pipelines, ensuring data integrity and security, and collaborating with teams to enhance healthcare-related reporting capabilities.

Responsibilities
Design, test, implement, maintain, and control data pipelines and integrating data
Assist in the development of standards and procedures affecting database management, design, and maintenance
Use Aruze DevOps to implement CI/CD development
Monitor transaction activities and assist in the utilization of databases. ELT (Extract, Load, Transform) processes that support data warehouses and reporting. On-call support is sometimes required
Conduct code walkthroughs, peer reviews, and produce technical documentation
Establish and maintain databases for user tests and production purposes
Responsible for the integrity and security of data in Data Warehouses and Data Marts
Work closely with technical management to design and implement databases and database support in support of complex business application development requirements and processes (e.g., diverse development platforms, technological environments, software, hardware, tools, etc.)
Use Astronomer Airflow to orchestrate workflow in data cloud environments
Provide solutions that are science/research-driven to users
Support, design, and manage upgrades to software that interacts with these databases
Maintain the confidentiality, privacy, and integrity of all healthcare data. Comply with all applicable laws, policies, and procedures, including those of the Institutional Review Board (IRB), HIPAA and New Jersey State laws, and IT Security
Performance tuning of database objects, stored procedures, jobs, and related scripts
Train user groups on procedures and standards
Adopt new features released regularly (e.g. Power BI Task Flows and Semantic model, etc.) to boost the current performance
Perform the foregoing using different database and pipeline technologies (e.g. Oracle, PostgreSQL, SQL Server, MySQL, Snowflake, AWS Athena, Databricks, Google Big Query, cloud database services, etc.) and other coding/scripting languages

Requires a master's degree in computer science or Related Field
2 years of experience in job offered or 2 years of experience in the Related Occupation
