Workforce Strategy & Planning Manager
Kroger is a leading grocery retailer, and they are seeking a Workforce Strategy & Planning Manager to develop and execute strategic workforce plans. This role will bridge HR, Retail Operations, Finance, and business leaders to ensure workforce capabilities align with organizational goals.

Responsibilities
Forecast future workforce needs based on business growth, transformation initiatives, and external labor market trends
Conduct gap analyses to identify skill shortages or surpluses and develop plans to address them, such as hiring, reskilling, or redeployment
Partner with Organizational Design team to design and refine functional organizational structures that support strategic objectives
Support leadership development and succession planning initiatives
Use scenario planning to model workforce outcomes under various business conditions
Communicate workforce strategies clearly across business units to internal stakeholders
Facilitate cross-functional collaboration to ensure alignment of workforce plans, leveraging influential leadership; monitor implementation of workforce plans and adjust based on changing needs
Lead workforce planning projects and manage related fiscal responsibilities and resources
Travel 20% to field locations and business sites
Ability to work cooperatively in high paced and sometimes stressful environment
Ability to manage conflict in a reasonable, nonconfrontational and cooperative manner
Ability to act with honesty and integrity regarding customer and business information
Ability to follow directions and seek assistance when necessary to resolve customer and business issues
Provide support and assistance through direct interaction with minors, individuals with special needs, and/or older adults
Must be able to perform the essential functions of this position with or without reasonable accommodation
Qualification
Required
5+ years of experience in workforce planning, HR strategy, HR Business Partner, People Analytics, or talent management preferably in a large, complex organization
Experience with strategic planning, change management and organizational development
Ability to adapt, innovate and lead through influence
Strong analytical skills and demonstrated proficiency in workforce analytical tools
Excellent oral and written communication skills; ability to lead workshops and stakeholder discussions
Demonstrated project management skills with ability to adapt to changing priorities and workload
Strong problem solving, organizational and prioritization skills with a high attention to detail
Preferred
Bachelor's degree in human resources, business administration, organizational psychology, or related field
Experience leading or contributing to organizational change initiatives or project management
