Responsibilities

Own the end-to-end financial reporting process, including reviewing and submitting quarterly IFRS and Japan GAAP reporting packages to Toyota Motor Corporation (TMC) and Toyota Financial Services Corporation (TFSC)
Prepare and review the Company’s annual financial statements, ensuring transparency and compliance
Ensure the accuracy and strength of internal controls over financial reporting
Lead and mentor a team of finance professionals, fostering a culture of continuous learning, innovation, and accountability
Collaborate cross-functionally with business units to translate financial data into actionable insights that support strategic initiatives
Drive process improvements and implement best practices to enhance reporting efficiency and effectiveness
Champion Toyota’s customer-first and innovative mindset by aligning financial reporting with broader business goals and customer needs
Spearhead the modernization of financial reporting processes, focusing on delivering value and clarity to internal and external stakeholders

Qualification

Financial ReportingIFRS KnowledgeLeadership ExperienceCPA LicenseSAP ExperienceFinancial AnalysisProcess ImprovementCollaborationCommunication Skills

Required

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
5+ years of progressive experience in financial reporting or accounting roles, with 2+ years of proven leadership experience
Proven ability to analyze financial information, identify trends, and communicate findings clearly to diverse audiences

Preferred

MBA or relative advanced degree
CPA license
Financial services and/or banking experience
Public accounting experience
Knowledge of IFRS (international financial reporting standards)
Experience with SAP and Hyperion or similar ERP and financial reporting software systems
