Responsibilities

Conduct research and prepare a report on the potential implementation of a Housing Choice Vouchers (HCV) Homeownership Program
Review HCV Administrative Plans from other Public Housing Agencies (PHAs) that have established such programs
Compile a comprehensive file of relevant U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) guidance and recommended best practices
Analyze the advantages and disadvantages of implementation and suggest appropriate language for inclusion in IHCDA’s HCV Administrative Plan
Conduct research and prepare a report on the potential implementation of a Family Self-Sufficiency (FSS) Program
Review HCV Administrative Plans from other PHAs that have implemented FSS programs
Compile a comprehensive file of relevant HUD guidance and recommended best practices
Analyze the advantages and disadvantages of implementation and suggest appropriate language for inclusion in IHCDA’s HCV Administrative Plan
Support efforts to improve the Local Service Agency (LSA) Scorecard and develop incentive strategies
Assist in the development of additional training materials and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
Assist in creating a spreadsheet for tracking constituent complaints and informal hearings

Required

Currently enrolled as an undergraduate or graduate student at an accredited post-secondary institution, with a minimum of one year of undergraduate coursework completed
Demonstrate strong verbal and written communication skills
Must have a proactive approach, demonstrate initiatives, and the ability to learn quickly
