Training and Compliance Specialist

LHH is partnering with a non-profit organization in the DC area seeking a temporary Training and Compliance Specialist to provide hands-on support across core HR operations during a period of transition. The role involves supporting human resources and employee development initiatives, blending day-to-day HR administrative responsibilities with project-based work in training development, compliance, and recognition programs.
Human Resources

Responsibilities

Assist with performance review processes, including scheduling, tracking, and documentation
Maintain HR records and support file management within ADP, SharePoint, and other HR systems
Provide general HR administrative support as needed
Develop, summarize, and organize training materials for employee programs, including recognition initiatives
Assist with the design, development, and implementation of NAVEX compliance training modules
Track training completion and generate reports for leadership as required
Support ad hoc HR and training-related projects from planning through execution
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth delivery of programs and initiatives
Identify opportunities to streamline processes and improve efficiency in HR and training activities

Required

Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Education, or a related field preferred
5+ years of experience in HR, learning & development, or administrative support
Strong organizational, multitasking, and time management skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple priorities independently

Preferred

Experience with HRIS systems (ADP, SharePoint) and learning management systems preferred
