Recreation Assistant Internship - Seasonal
The City of Billings is seeking two Recreation Assistant Interns to work with Parks and Recreation staff in providing program coordination assistance. The role involves developing, coordinating, and implementing various recreation programs and special events for diverse age groups.

Responsibilities
Assist in the development, coordination, scheduling, and implementation of recreation programs and special events
Assist in evaluating program success and recommend improvements or changes for the future
Work alongside program staff during on-field programs and events
Weeknight, Weekend, and on call oversight on programs and leagues
Will assist in other programs and areas of Parks and Recreation as needed
Will work directly with and supervise other seasonal employees
Will report directly to Recreation Specialists
Assist other members of Parks and Recreation staff as needed
Qualification
Required
Must possess a Valid Driver's License
Experience in managing multiple tasks while maintaining timelines, accuracy and attention to detail
Must be PC proficient with experience in MS Word, Power Point and advanced Excel skills
Must meet minimum age requirements
Demonstrated decision-making and leadership skills
Excellent inter-personal verbal and written communication skills
Demonstrated success working in a team environment and independently
Incumbent must pass pre-employment background check
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds may be necessary
Extended periods of time on your feet, walking, or moving around may be required
Preferred
Be working towards a degree in Parks and Recreation, Sports Management or Education/Youth Development or related degree preferred but not necessary
