Responsibilities
Develop and optimize an internal existing oligo design tool, leveraging existing codebase and previously collected experimental data
Investigate and communicate best practices and literature reviews relevant to oligo design
Contribute to front and back-end components to allow for rapid design of oligos
Document development work and contribute to the creation of user-facing documentation
Present findings and progress updates to the team
Qualification
Required
Must be a currently enrolled student pursuing a graduate-level degree in a field relevant to the internship
Must be able to work full-time and on-site during the duration of the internship program
Proficiency in Python
Understanding of genomics and bioinformatics principles
Strong command-line skills and experience with Linux/Unix environments
Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git)
Preferred
Experience with long-read sequencing data analysis (Oxford Nanopore Technologies)
Experience with cloud computing platforms (AWS, Azure) is a plus
