Responsibilities

Payroll Processing & Administration: Timely performance including accurate calculation of wages, bonuses, commissions, etc., tax compliance, federal, state, and local payroll adjustments, reporting & reconciliation, qualified to run certified payroll for government and prevailing wage projects and handle related reporting
Payroll Compliance & Regulatory Reporting: Ensure legal compliance, and prepare regulatory reports for audit
Payroll System Maintenance & Improvement: system management, process improvements, and vendor management with third-party payroll vendors, where applicable
Cross-Company Payroll Coordination: Multi-company payroll management, Intercompany Transactions, Documentation & Record Keeping
Other Accounting & Administrative Responsibilities: General Accounting Support, assisting with month-end closing, and reconciliation, Employee Benefits Coordination, collaborating with HR and ad hoc reporting

Required

Strong accounting, payroll processing, compliance, and reporting skills
Timely performance including accurate calculation of wages, bonuses, commissions, etc
Tax compliance, federal, state, and local payroll adjustments, reporting & reconciliation
Qualified to run certified payroll for government and prevailing wage projects and handle related reporting
Ensure legal compliance, and prepare regulatory reports for audit

QuickBooks Enterprise, Sunburst, and MS Excel (advanced)
Strong attention to detail with a high level of accuracy in payroll processing and data entry
Ability to prioritize tasks effectively and meet deadlines
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Address discrepancies, resolve employee concerns, and find solutions timely
At least 5 years of experience in accounting or payroll, with a focus on multi-entity payroll processing and certified payroll
Strong understanding of accounting principles and payroll tax laws
Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field. Relevant work experience may be considered in lieu of a degree
