Responsibilities
Curriculum Development: Work with our instructional design team to translate core DevOps competencies into structured learning objectives, module outlines, and overall course flow, based on the provided curriculum matrix (similar to the one in the source document)
Content Creation: Develop comprehensive and technically accurate course materials, including lecture scripts, technical deep dives, hands-on lab instructions, knowledge checks, quizzes, and project specifications for modules such as: Secure Branch Strategy (Azure DevOps/GitHub); Pipeline Engineering & Automation (CI/CD, YAML validation); Cloud Native & IaC Management (Containerization, Terraform/Bicep); Observability & Metrics (Tracing, Monitoring, Flaky Tests); DevSecOps Implementation
Hands-on Focus: Design practical, real-world exercises and labs that allow learners to apply concepts using industry-standard tools (e.g., Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, Terraform, Kubernetes, Prometheus, Grafana)
Quality Assurance: Review and refine content based on feedback from the editorial, instructional design, and technical review teams to ensure clarity, accuracy, and pedagogical effectiveness
Maintain Industry Relevance: Ensure all content reflects the latest tools, best practices, and trends in the professional DevOps landscape
Qualification
Required
5+ years of practical, hands-on experience in a DevOps, SRE, Platform Engineering, or similar role
Expert-level knowledge across multiple key DevOps domains, including: Source Control and Branching Strategies (Git, GitHub Enterprise, Azure DevOps), CI/CD Pipelines (YAML, GitHub Actions, Azure Pipelines, Jenkins), Infrastructure as Code (IaC) with Terraform, Bicep, or CloudFormation, Containerization and Orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes/AKS/EKS/GKE), Monitoring, Logging, and Observability (Prometheus, Grafana, Application Insights, distributed tracing), DevSecOps principles and tooling (image scanning, secret management, policy-as-code)
Exceptional ability to communicate complex technical concepts clearly, accurately, and concisely in written form
Proven ability to meet deadlines and manage content development tasks within an agreed-upon timeline
Relevant professional certifications (e.g., AWS/Azure/GCP DevOps certifications, Certified Kubernetes Administrator) are a plus
Preferred
Previous experience as an instructor, technical trainer, or subject matter expert developing professional courseware
Familiarity with Instructional Design principles or Bloom's Taxonomy
