Senior ServiceNow Developer
Talent Groups is seeking a skilled ServiceNow Developer to help enhance and expand their rapidly evolving ServiceNow environment. The role involves building integrations, automating processes, and designing scalable solutions to improve performance and operational efficiency across the enterprise.
Responsibilities
Configure, customize, and optimize ServiceNow solutions for ITSM, SIR, GRC, CMDB, ITOM, and ITAM modules
Develop and maintain custom applications, workflows, scripts, UI policies, and integrations adhering to best practices in coding, performance, and security
Leverage REST/SOAP APIs and other integration frameworks to integrate ServiceNow with external systems (e.g., monitoring tools, inventory systems)
Enhance and maintain the CMDB, ensuring accurate configuration data to support ITOM (Event Management, Discovery, Service Mapping) and ITAM workflows
Implement data quality controls, reconciliation rules, and automation for populating and maintaining the CMDB, ensuring completeness and accuracy of CI data
Integrate ITOM capabilities, such as Discovery and Service Mapping, to enrich the CMDB and improve visibility into infrastructure and service dependencies
Support ITAM processes (asset tracking, license management, procurement workflows) by configuring and optimizing asset-related modules to ensure compliance and cost efficiency
Manage all aspects of the ServiceNow platform, including users, groups, roles, and instance configurations
Oversee releases, update sets, and system cloning to maintain platform integrity, performance, and reliability
Monitor platform health and ensure adherence to ServiceNow best practices
Develop and execute test plans, maintaining a high level of quality and reliability across all solutions
Adhere to regulatory and compliance standards, leveraging GRC capabilities and frameworks (e.g., ITIL, ISO, NIST) to align processes with internal policies
Partner with business analysts, architects, and process owners to translate requirements into technical designs and deliver functional, user-friendly solutions
Communicate effectively with cross-functional teams, providing technical guidance and troubleshooting support
Mentor and support junior developers and administrators to foster a high-performing, collaborative environment
Create and maintain comprehensive technical documentation, including design specs, solution guides, and operational runbooks
Contribute to knowledge articles, training materials, and best-practice frameworks that elevate the overall platform skill set within the organization
Qualification
Required
Must be a U.S. Citizen, as this role supports a federal program
Must be able to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance
Demonstrated experience in ServiceNow development across ITSM, CMDB, ITOM (Discovery, Service Mapping), and ITAM modules
Proficiency in JavaScript, Glide scripting, and front-end technologies (HTML, CSS, AngularJS or equivalent frameworks)
Strong understanding of ServiceNow data models, integration methods (REST, SOAP), and performance optimization techniques
Familiarity with ITIL principles and related governance frameworks
ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA)
ServiceNow Certified Application Developer (CAD)
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with keen attention to detail
Excellent communication abilities to translate technical concepts for non-technical stakeholders
Adaptable, proactive, and collaborative, with the ability to thrive in Agile/Scrum teams and dynamic environments
Commitment to continuous learning and professional development
Preferred
ServiceNow Certified Implementation Specialist (CIS) in ITSM, ITOM, or related areas
