Intern - Behavioral Health (Summer)
The State of South Dakota is seeking a motivated Behavioral Health Intern to join their interdisciplinary team at the South Dakota Developmental Center. This internship provides hands-on experience in delivering behavioral health services to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities, under the supervision of licensed professionals.

Responsibilities
Assist with behavioral assessments, data collection, and the development and implementation of individualized behavior support plans
Actively participate in team meetings and contribute to person-centered planning
Support staff in applying evidence-based behavioral strategies
Monitor progress toward behavioral goals
Maintain accurate documentation and ensure compliance with ethical and regulatory standards
Qualification
Required
Applicant must be a current part-time or full-time student (minimum of 6 credit hours) in upcoming semester or in the immediately preceding semester
Eligible students need to be enrolled in a graduate or undergraduate program in Psychology, Applied Behavior Analysis or related field
Applicant must be enrolled as a part-time/full-time student at a college, university, or technical institute at the time they apply
By the start of the internship, the student should have completed one year (nine months) of their chosen program
Preferred
Preference may be given to applicants with a standing of junior/senior
Preference may be given to South Dakota residents
Preference may be given to students of South Dakota institutions
