Responsibilities
Lead sustaining operations and capital improvement projects for complex mechanical and process utility systems in a high-tech, regulated environment
Manage a multi-disciplinary team (Mechanical, Electrical, I&C, Reliability, Design) and act as the owner’s representative for capital projects—overseeing design, procurement, construction, QA/QC, and turnover
Partner closely with site operations, maintenance, vendors, and contractors while mentoring internal engineering staff and supporting Certified Reliability Engineering (CRE) initiatives
Work includes both retrofits and new installations
Qualification
Required
BS Mechanical or Chemical Engineering (ABET)
Licensed PE (CT or ability to obtain quickly)
15+ years facilities/process mechanical engineering experience
Strong knowledge of ASME, B31.3, SEMI, NFPA, IBC/IMC, ASHRAE
Capital project delivery, vendor submittals, field construction support
Experience with P&IDs, PFDs, BIM (AutoCAD, Revit, Navisworks)
Facility Engineer: 4 years
facilities/process mechanical engineering: 10 years
Professional Engineer
Preferred
Revit: 2 years
AutoCAD: 2 years
NavisWorks: 2 years
BIM: 1 year
