Responsibilities
Provide imaginative, thorough, and practicable solutions to a wide range of technical problems involving the conventional utilization of engineering techniques
Read, interpret, and write specifications and technical documents
Prepare technical and design requirements in support of project goals
Keep current in relevant technologies and methods in support of project assignments
Provide direction in problem investigations and resolution across functional areas
Understand and/or leads Root Cause and Corrective Action (RCCA) process
Review and approve engineering drawings
Travel up to 25%
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's Degree and minimum 9 years of prior Project Engineering experience
Graduate Degree and a minimum of 7 years of prior Project Engineering experience
In lieu of a degree, minimum of 13 years of prior Project Engineering experience
Preferred
Bachelor's Degree in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering is preferred
4 years of IPT Lead experience
4 years' working knowledge of Microsoft Office software
Four or more years of experience with solid propellant propulsion projects is highly desired
Experience as a Control Account Manager (CAM) is desired
Ability to communicate, both verbally and in writing, with technical and non-technical professionals at all levels
Ability to establish and maintain priorities in a dynamic environment
Ability to work well both independently and within a team environment
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Ability to work well under pressure, in a collaborative, dynamic and multi-disciplinary environment
