Business Development Manager
Extron is a leading developer and manufacturer of professional AV hardware and software solutions. The Business Development Manager will proactively influence Corporate and Government end-user customers and identify new business opportunities by building relationships and understanding customer needs.
Responsibilities
Maintain existing and develop new customer relationships within a specific region
Target new customer decision makers within an organization or agency
Pursing assigned project leads and follow through to secure business
Collaborate with Extron design engineers to ensure that customer requirements/needs are met
Identify and attend tradeshows and events within your region that are critical to Extron’s success
Partner with Extron regional sales & technical colleagues to ensure channel partners and contractors lead with Extron solutions
Have a strong understanding of Extron position in the marketplace and how to sell against competition
Maintain and grow in-region manufacture partnerships that are complimentary to Extron’s efforts
Qualification
Required
5+ years' experience in relationship management, with a strong technical background, developing accounts and selling hardware and software system solutions & services
Knowledge of procurement policies, contract vehicles, information technology procurement requirements, and facilities management needs within a large organization
Understanding of government contracts vehicles and corporate customers' procurement cycles
Expertise in strategically positioning video distribution systems and control solutions
Strong attention to detail, sense of urgency, highly organized, computer literate
Ability to work well in a fast-paced professional office environment
Excellent communication and presentation skills (written and verbal)
25% Travel required
