Responsibilities

Support and assist in Special Process Qualifications/Source Qualifications and maintain KPI’s and Metrics
Highly proficient in AS9102 FAIR, PPAP and Process Validation activities
Develop and improve quality plans to assure compliance with manufacturing processes, customer and engineering requirements
Active MRB/Quality Clinic Team Member, tracking manufacturing process and driving RCCA problem solving
Review material certifications and job folder prior to manufacturing
Supports the Internal Contract Review process as required
Reviews and approvals outside processing purchase orders
Lead and participate in continuous improvement initiatives/Kaizen events to achieve organizational goals
Conducts Internal and Supplier Audits, as required
Supports Supplier Development and Customer Quality programs
Create In-process and Final Inspection Method Sheets, conducts Gage R&R and Correlation Studies
Additional duties as assigned by Forrest Machine, Inc. Management

Required

Due to ITAR regulations, it requires proof of US Citizenship or US Permanent Residency
Bachelor's degree in mechanical/industrial/manufacturing engineering or related field
3 plus years relevant Quality or Manufacturing experience in Aerospace or other complex machining industry
Familiarity with Aerospace Customer's requirements
Understanding of or the aptitude to understand QMS requirements in compliance with aerospace customers, AS/ISO Industry Standards
Proficient use of Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
Highly proficient in GD&T with attention to detail
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Ability to manage projects to completion in a cross functional, collaborative team environment
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
A team-oriented attitude and willingness to support colleagues is an asset

Preferred

Prior DQR & LCS Certification a PLUS
Kaizen, Lean Manufacturing, and Internal auditing a PLUS
Familiarization with CMM measurement (i.e., Zeiss Calypso) a PLUS
