Responsibilities
Support engineering design and integration activities for aspects of USA Structures Systems
Develop conceptual CAD models and produce engineering drawings (if needed)
Work collaboratively with project team(s) to formulate innovative solutions to complex problems and products across a broad range of applications
Support structural testing and analysis (if needed)
Support project team(s) across multiple disciplines with the completion of document deliverables
Support the assembly, integration, and test of the USA test article and flight unit
Qualification
Required
Position requires candidates to be capable of performing in a collaborative engineering environment working closely with multi-disciplinary teams
Applicant must be actively enrolled and working toward a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Aerospace, Materials Engineering or similar Engineering from an ABET accredited college or university
Applicant must be a US Citizen
Applicant must have an overall GPA of 3.0 or above
Ability to perform physical work such as lifting up to 30-lbs
Knowledge of and ability to use common hand tools
Applicant must be willing to work in-office in Huntsville, AL with travel to Decatur, AL one to two days per week
Preferred
Experience with SolidWorks CAD software
Desire to solve complex technical problems and learn from a team of experienced engineers
