Network Engineer

Chenega Services & Federal Solutions, LLC is looking for a Network Engineer to provide network infrastructure support services to the Department of Navy’s Commander, Operational Test and Evaluation Force (COMOPTEVFOR). The Network Engineer will be responsible for installation, configuration, testing, and technical support services to the Enterprise Architecture Team.

Responsibilities

Provide daily technical support and troubleshooting of problems as required for all network infrastructure devices to include but not limited to Cisco Nexus and Catalyst switches, Integrated Services Routers (ISR), Firepower Next Generation Firewalls (NGFW), Identity Services Engine (ISE), Prime Infrastructure, and Digital Network Architecture Center (DNAC)
Review applicable DISA Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs) and make required configuration changes quarterly IAW these STIGs for all network infrastructure devices to include but not limited to Cisco Nexus and Catalyst switches, Integrated Services Routers (ISR), Firepower Next Generation Firewalls (NGFW), Identity Services Engine (ISE), Prime Infrastructure, and Digital Network Architecture Center (DNAC)
Install, configure, test and implement new network infrastructure devices to include but not limited to routers, switches, firewalls and gateways as required
Assist with the deployment of IPv6 for the OPTEVFOR unclassified network and execute by configuring IPv6 on all network infrastructure devices
Update network diagrams as necessary using Visio
Provide a monthly status report which contains the progress of work on assigned tasks and future work plans for the upcoming month

Required

Active Secret security clearance
Must be certified as a Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) or a Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA). A copy of the certificate must be provided
Must have the proper and current cybersecurity qualifications to perform IT privileged administrative functions in accordance with the DoD Cyberspace Workforce Framework (DCWF) and the DoDM 8140.03, Cyberspace Workforce Qualification and Management Program
Must meet the applicable DCWF Work Role [651] Foundation Qualifications, Intermediate, which include: Education: Bachelor degree or higher from an accredited college or university. When used to satisfy the foundational portion of qualification, the degree must be conferred within the past 5 years by an institution of higher education that is accredited by a nationally recognized accreditor, unless continuous work in the relevant discipline can be demonstrated; OR Personnel Certification: CompTIA Advanced Security Practitioner (CASP+) or (ISC)2 Certified Cloud Security Professional (CCSP) or CompTIA Cloud+ or (ISC)2 Certified Secure Software Lifecycle Professional (CSSLP)
Experience with configuring and maintaining Cisco switches, routers, firewalls and security appliances
Experience with configuring and deploying IPv6 on network infrastructure devices
