Physical Security Specialist I
Knoxville TVA Employees Credit Union is a not-for-profit, Member-owned financial institution serving East Tennessee. They are seeking a Physical Security Specialist I to assist with surveillance equipment, maintain security inventory, and support risk management efforts within the organization.

Responsibilities
Assist with weekly surveillance equipment reviews to verify functionality and necessary video storage limits
Help respond to department help desk tickets in a timely manner
Help maintain an up-to-date inventory of all physical security equipment in use. Readily identify old and outdated equipment so replacement, testing, servicing, and maintenance of equipment can be done if necessary
Help serve as a liaison for third-party vendors used by Physical Security Department
Assist with following up with vendors to ensure any equipment failures are corrected in a timely manner
Help oversee installation and maintenance of all security-related equipment
Help perform and maintain ongoing security risk assessments to ensure programs are aligned with current business needs and exposures
Assist in research of investigations of known or suspected crimes against the Credit Union
Identify, research, and report all suspicious activities to the Risk Management Manager
Keep supervisor informed of area activities and significant problems or concerns
Assist with the coordination of the Risk Management Department’s response in the event of a Credit Union emergency
Answer questions and solve problems by listening, collecting data, securing answers and reporting results to the inquiring party
Complete required reports and records accurately and promptly
Help develop and present new employee physical security related training to new employees when needed
Assist in the presentation and delivery of annual security training for the entire staff. Train Branch staff on how to use relevant security equipment
Help ensure quarterly and annual branch security inspections are completed and any issues are documented and corrected promptly
Assist with inquiries and claims regarding Credit Union’s fidelity bond and insurance policies as needed
Participate in and complete special projects, as assigned. Follow all Credit Union policies, procedures, and regulations
Represent the Credit Union in a professional manner (including but not limited to appearance, behavior, and performance)
Maintain regular and predictable attendance
Work cooperatively with others
All other duties as assigned
Qualification
Required
High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
Individual must possess the knowledge, skills and ability required to execute the essential functions in a satisfactory manner
Ability to read, analyze and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, or governmental regulations
Ability to write reports and procedure manuals and use proper grammar, punctuation, and spelling
Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals
Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists
Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written or oral form
Ability to operate related computer applications including Word, Excel, and email
Proficient typing skills
Ability to operate other business equipment including adding machine, coin and money counting machines and telephone
Valid driver's license
Frequently lift/move up to 25 pounds
Occasionally lift/move up to 50 pounds
Specific vision abilities required for this job include color vision
Average, ordinary visual acuity necessary to prepare or inspect documents or products or operate machinery
Frequently required to stand, walk, sit, use hands to finger, handle or feel, reach with hands and arms, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl, and talk or hear
Often required to climb or balance
Preferred
One or more years of clerical/administrative office experience preferred
Basic Information Technology network understanding preferred
