Responsibilities
Lead end-to-end compliance projects, including planning, execution, monitoring, and closure
Define project scope, timelines, risks, and deliverables for multifaceted regulatory initiatives
Track action items, follow up with action owners, and ensure timely completion
Escalate delays, risks, or scope changes and update project plans accordingly
Interpret and apply industry regulations (e.g., CPUC, FERC, OEIS, CAISO) to business processes
Stay current with evolving regulatory requirements and assess organizational impact
Support updates to internal procedures, guidance documents, and compliance standards
Identify, evaluate, and mitigate compliance and operational risks
Conduct internal compliance reviews and support audits
Develop and maintain control frameworks to prevent regulatory violations
Serve as a liaison between business teams, senior leadership, and external auditors
Communicate complex compliance requirements clearly to diverse stakeholders
Provide regular status updates, dashboards, and reports to leadership
Support the development and delivery of compliance training programs
Prepare compliance metrics, documentation, and executive-level reports
Qualification
Required
3–10 years of experience in project management, regulatory compliance, legal, or risk management roles
Experience within the Energy & Utilities industry
Moderate understanding of industry-specific regulations (CPUC, FERC, OEIS, CAISO)
Strong project management and organizational skills
Excellent verbal and written communication
High attention to detail and accuracy in documentation
Critical thinking, risk analysis, and problem-solving
Ability to manage change and influence stakeholders without direct authority
Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
Experience with project management and process-mapping tools such as MS Project and Visio
Bachelor's degree in Business, Law, Compliance, or a related field
