The Director of Infrastructure & Operations will lead IT infrastructure, end user computing, and operational support across multiple locations while ensuring seamless operations that support business objectives and growth initiatives.

Responsibilities
Oversee enterprise infrastructure including servers, storage, virtualization, and network systems across multiple locations
Direct cloud infrastructure strategy and operations (AWS/Azure) and manage hybrid on-prem/cloud environments
Lead end user computing strategy, including desktop/laptop management, mobile device management (MDM), and collaboration tools
Manage service desk operations ensuring excellent customer service and SLA compliance
Ensure optimal performance, stability, availability, and security across all technology platforms
Set infrastructure vision and drive IT operations strategy aligned with business outcomes
Establish governance frameworks and KPIs to measure performance and drive continuous improvement
Partner with business stakeholders to align technology priorities with organizational goals
Drive operational excellence initiatives focused on efficiency, automation, and measurable business value
Oversee network infrastructure across 40+ locations including routers, switches, firewalls, and WAN/LAN connectivity
Manage data center operations and ensure 99.9%+ uptime for business-critical systems
Direct infrastructure projects including migrations, upgrades, and technology refreshes
Ensure disaster recovery and business continuity planning and execution
Build and lead high-performance infrastructure and operations teams
Manage vendor relationships, contract negotiations, and service level agreements
Direct cross-functional collaboration with business units and external partners
Oversee multi-million dollar infrastructure budgets and ensure cost-effective solutions
Qualification
Required
10+ years progressive IT leadership experience managing infrastructure and operations
Proven track record overseeing multi-location technology environments (25+ locations)
Strong background in data center operations, cloud technologies (AWS/Azure), and virtualization (VMware/Hyper-V)
Experience managing network infrastructure, service desk operations, and end user computing
Demonstrated success leading technology migrations and infrastructure transformations
Experience with compliance frameworks (SOC2, ISO, ITIL) and IT governance
Deep understanding of enterprise infrastructure including servers, storage, networking, and virtualization
Strong knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS/Azure) and hybrid infrastructure management
Experience with network technologies including routers, switches, firewalls, and SD-WAN
Familiarity with service desk operations, endpoint management, and ITIL frameworks
Knowledge of monitoring tools, automation, and infrastructure-as-code concepts
Hands-on leader who bridges business needs with technology execution
Proven ability to build, develop, and lead geographically dispersed teams
Strong vendor management and contract negotiation skills
Excellent communication skills with ability to engage at all organizational levels
Track record of delivering cost-effective, high-quality solutions on time
Customer-centric mindset with focus on operational excellence
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related field
Preferred
Master's degree preferred
Relevant certifications (ITIL, Microsoft, VMware, AWS, Azure) a plus
