Responsibilities
Define modern cloud data architecture (AWS, GCP, or Azure)
Design enterprise data lakes, curated zones, marts, and consumption layers
Architect batch, streaming, CDC, and API-led data pipelines
Lead platform and tooling selection (BigQuery, Snowflake, Databricks, Kafka, dbt, Airflow, etc.)
Define data models, governance, lineage, and quality standards
Enable BI, self-serve analytics, and ML feature pipelines
Set data operating models and work across engineering, analytics, and business teams
Qualification
Required
Proven experience designing large-scale enterprise data platforms
Strong cloud data architecture background (AWS/GCP/Azure)
Hands-on understanding of modern data stacks (SQL, Python, Spark, dbt, streaming)
Experience with data governance, security, and compliance (GDPR, HIPAA, SOC2)
Comfortable operating at both strategic and architectural levels
Preferred
Experience in regulated or data-heavy industries
Data architecture or cloud certifications (AWS, GCP, Databricks, Snowflake, TOGAF)
