Business Intelligence Analyst (UM)

Norfolk & Dedham Insurance is seeking a Business Intelligence Analyst to coordinate with all levels of the company to gather and analyze data for strategic decisions. The role involves advanced Power BI development, complex SQL writing, and supporting various departments with analytical needs through data visualization and reporting.

Responsibilities

Coordinate with all levels of the company, including executive and management, to gather, analyze, summarize, and prepare recommendations regarding innovation, technology, relationships, growth and profitability
Advanced Power BI developer
Write complex SQL statements
Basic python knowledge
Drive and support strategic decisions with data
Partner with and provide support to all department’s analytical needs through ad hoc queries, data visualizations, departmental dashboards, data analysis, and post-project monitoring
Prepare monthly, quarterly, annual reports and in-depth commentary
Prepare regulatory and reinsurance reporting
Establish databases of pertinent information for use in analyzing future plans and forecasts
Perform complex analysis in an evolving data environment
Analyze financial information to determine present and future financial performance
Provide investment support, research, and prepare presentations
Assist with special projects

Preferred

Bachelor's degree or equivalent education and experience in a relevant field
Experience in the Property & Casualty Insurance industry preferred but not required
