Responsibilities
Provide customer service to staff, visitors, and the public by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a government location
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including documenting observations and notifying the appropriate personnel
Conduct regular and random patrols of buildings, grounds, and perimeter areas, monitoring for unusual activity and conditions that may help to deter unwanted behavior
Control access by checking identification, directing foot and vehicle traffic, and maintaining visitor logs and/or access records in accordance with site requirements
Operate and monitor security-related systems such as radios, cameras, and alarm panels when assigned, and communicate updates to Allied Universal leadership and site contacts
Qualification
Required
1 year Security Experience
Must be 21+ years of age
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment
A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only
Preferred
Access control and/or badge experience
Ability to lift more than 20 lbs
Handcuffs and/or pepper spray and/or baton experience
