Structural Engineer Intern (EI)
David Joseph & Company is a growing engineering firm seeking a Structural Engineer Intern (EI) to support bridge, transportation, and building projects. The role involves assisting with the design and preparation of construction documents, calculations, and specifications for various structural projects.
Government Relations
Responsibilities
Prepare construction plans for bridges and other transportation-related structures using MicroStation
Develop construction plans for new buildings and renovations to existing structures using Revit and/or AutoCAD
Produce calculation packages, specifications, and other contract documents
Review construction documents, including shop drawings and contractor requests
Coordinate tasks and provide technical support to junior or supporting staff
Participate in rigorous QA/QC and plan review processes
Collaborate closely with multidisciplinary engineering teams on complex projects
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering
Engineer Intern (EI) registration
Proficiency with MicroStation
Strong attention to detail with solid skills in structural analysis
Strong attention to detail with solid skills in steel design
Strong attention to detail with solid skills in concrete design for transportation and building structures
Broad understanding of structural engineering principles and practices
Preferred
Approximately 2 years of structural design experience
Experience with Revit and AutoCAD
