Responsibilities
Conduct and review structural engineering calculations and associated design drawings on a multi-discipline team of engineers executing complex engineering projects for clients in the utility, renewable, and oil & gas industries
Coordinate resourcing needs to meet client deadlines with management team
May be responsible for multiple projects simultaneously
Prepare proposals and estimates for various projects
Assist with project management including budgets, schedules, and client relations
Serve as Engineer of Record for projects
Qualification
Required
Minimum of Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or similar/related field, from an accredited school or University is required
Minimum 5 years structural engineering experience in utility industry
Must have excellent oral / written communication skills and ability to work well in teams
Ability to apply analytical or scientific thinking to define and solve problems and be able to execute field and office tasks
Proficient with Risa3D, RisaFoundation, MathCad, Mat3D, SAP2000, STAAD, AutoCAD, LPile, Microsoft Office, Excel, etc
Experience and detailed knowledge of applicable codes and standards (ACI, AISC, ASCE, ASTM, ANSI, API, IBC, OSHA, PIP etc.)
Ability to make independent decisions
Strong attention to details
Ability to plan, organize and coordinate
Ability to identify and develop solutions to complex problems or seek guidance from more experienced engineers
Must have experience leading small to medium sized Civil/Structural engineering design teams
Preferred
Registered as a Professional Engineer
