Responsibilities
Accurately schedules patients in accordance with guidelines in the scheduling application for assigned outpatient procedures and in accordance with ancillary department specifications, including but not limited to: adding and deleting procedures and rescheduling procedures as needed
Obtains licensed nurse when family requests communication regarding patients condition, beyond the Schedule Coordinators scope of practice
Obtains and processes physicians orders, i.e. calls to obtain orders, scans orders into the Document Imaging application, reminds patients to bring orders, etc. Review physician orders for appropriateness and address issues
Qualification
Required
High School graduate or equivalent
Basic computer knowledge
Ability to type minimum of 40 wpm
Knowledgeable in skills of patient/guest relations
Preferred
Radiology scheduling and insurance authorization preferred
