Responsibilities

Develop, troubleshoot, and debug high-level software using C++, Java, or similar languages
Collaborate with users and developers to improve and enhance system capabilities
Use modern software engineering principles to write secure, reliable, reusable, and efficient code
Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines using tools like GitLab, Jenkins, or Bamboo
Participate in Agile development processes: planning, demos, retrospectives, etc
Work on automation and containerization efforts using Docker, IaC, and related technologies

Required

Bachelor's degree and 4-8 years of relevant experience (or Master's and less than 2-6 years experience)
DevOps/automation-focused software development experience
Experience with Linux (RHEL/CentOS) and Windows Server/Workstation
Proficiency with scripting (e.g., Bash, Python, PowerShell)
Experience with DevSecOps tools: GitLab, Nexus, CI/CD pipelines
Familiar with Docker or other containerization platforms
Understanding of Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) and platform engineering
Strong troubleshooting and collaboration skills
Familiarity with Git and version control best practices
Active Secret Clearance
Full-time on-site support required
Must reside in the North Alabama area

Preferred

IaC tools: Ansible, Terraform, Chef/Puppet
GitOps experience
Ability to manage multiple release schedules
Experience with test automation in CI/CD
Familiar with static analysis tools: Fortify, SonarQube, Coverity
Experience with Kubernetes, Helm charts
Understanding of VMware virtualization
Basic networking and diagnostics
Knowledge of the Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe)
System Administration experience a strong plus
