Director of Client Development
Designalytics helps leading CPG companies unlock brand growth through data-driven insights. The Director of Client Development will own and expand enterprise CPG relationships, driving revenue and fostering long-term partnerships through strategic account management and consultative sales.
Market Research
Responsibilities
Own and grow a portfolio of enterprise CPG accounts
Lead complex, consultative sales cycles for syndicated access and on-demand quantitative studies
Develop account strategies that expand relationships across brands, categories, and business units
Act as a senior thought partner to client leaders
Reframe design questions from risk mitigation and validation to growth opportunity and performance
Translate business objectives into research and analytics approaches that unlock measurable sales impact
Present findings, implications, and recommendations to executive audiences
Identify expansion opportunities within existing clients and pursue net-new prospects
Lead proposals, pricing, and commercial negotiations
Partner closely with internal research, analytics, and operations teams to ensure high-quality delivery and continuity
Qualification
Required
8–12 years in market research, analytics, or insights-led consulting
Strong grounding in quantitative methodologies and study design
Proven transition into client development or account leadership
Experience selling custom research or analytics solutions to large U.S. CPG companies
Track record of owning revenue and expanding enterprise client relationships
Preferred
Experience at a custom research firm or analytics consultancy
Comfortable engaging both brand-side and research/analytics buyers
Experience navigating long, multi-stakeholder, consultative sales cycles
Familiarity with the creative or design agency ecosystem
