Assistant Controller
Switchcraft, Inc. is a U.S. manufacturer of harsh environment circular connectors and interconnect solutions. The Assistant Controller supports the Controller in managing accounting operations, financial reporting, budgeting, and internal controls, preparing for a transition to the Controller position within a year.

Responsibilities
Support daily accounting operations including general ledger, AP/AR, payroll, fixed assets, and inventory accounting
Assist in monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes, financial statements, reconciliations, and reporting
Support budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, and KPI reporting
Maintain internal controls and support corporate compliance and audit requirements
Assist with ERP system maintenance, process improvements, and automation initiatives
Collaborate cross-functionally with Operations, Supply Chain, IT, and HR to support financial processes
Provide guidance to accounting staff and assume increasing Controller-level responsibilities over time
Qualification
Required
Support daily accounting operations including general ledger, AP/AR, payroll, fixed assets, and inventory accounting
Assist in monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes, financial statements, reconciliations, and reporting
Support budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, and KPI reporting
Maintain internal controls and support corporate compliance and audit requirements

Strong GAAP knowledge and corporate accounting expertise
Proficiency with ERP systems (Business Central preferred) and Microsoft 365
Excellent analytical, problem‑solving, and financial modeling skills
Effective communicator with strong organizational abilities
Detail‑oriented with a continuous‑improvement mindset
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA preferred)
5-8 years of progressive accounting/finance experience; manufacturing experience preferred
Experience with cost accounting, financial reporting, and budgeting is strongly preferred
