InternMi-T-M Corporation is seeking a Mechanical Engineering Design Intern to assist engineers and drafters in the design and development of industrial equipment. The intern will gain hands-on experience by creating CAD models, collaborating on prototype development, and documenting technical details.

Responsibilities
Utilization of CAD software to create 3D models, renderings and drawings
Assist in the fabrication, assembly and testing of prototypes, including documenting test results and identifying areas for improvement
Prepare drawings, bill of materials, and other documentation to clearly communicate design concepts and specifications to the product team
Collaborate with engineers and drafters at various product stages, including concept development, prototyping and product launch
Additional duties as assigned
Qualification
Required
Must be enrolled in a Mechanical Engineering Degree program with strong understanding of engineering principles
Must be proficient in CAD software (AutoCAD Inventor preferred)
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Must have excellent communication and teamwork abilities
Must be able to work at our facility in Peosta, Iowa
Preferred
Knowledge of 3D printing: including design, material selection, printer set up and maintenance
Hands on experience and knowledge of basic hand and power tools used in the assembly of mechanical systems
