Director of Land Development
Construction Grad, LLC is seeking a Director of Land Development to join their homebuilding client in the Salt Lake Area. The role involves consulting with land acquisition managers, managing budgets and schedules, resolving title and environmental issues, and ensuring efficient land development plans are executed.
Responsibilities
Consult with land acquisition managers to determine the feasibility of obtaining the permits and approvals and installing the infrastructure to develop new homes
Provide periodic schedules and budgets related to obtaining the permits and approvals and developing the land for new acquisition opportunities
Resolve all title and environmental issues which would preclude the division from purchasing property for the purpose of building and selling new homes
Ensure the land development plans are designed in the most efficient and cost-effective way which will achieve the government, utility and community requirements and division objectives
Define the scopes of work for each land development project
Solicit and evaluate bids and award the contracts consistent with the scopes of work for each land development project
Ensure each land development project stays on schedule and within budget
Communicate clearly, accurately, and timely regarding the status of schedules, budgets and potential issues related to the entitlement, forward planning, and land development of each project
On-time delivery of home sites including, but not limited to wet and dry utilities, roads, landscaping, amenities, and public service infrastructure
Provide input on selection of subdivision details for amenities and all common areas
