RK Partners is a financial planning firm seeking a Planning Associate to design and manage financial plans for clients. The role involves preparing deliverables for client meetings, managing client reviews, and supporting investment and insurance operations.
Consulting

Responsibilities

Design and manage financial plans for clients and potential clients
Prepare and develop solutions regarding fee-based and non-fee based financial plans for clients
Have mastery of our Px planning software and preparing alternative scenarios for clients
Create and prepare all deliverables for client meetings including plans and specific recommendations
Prepare or collaborate with others to provide an integrated package with investment and insurance solutions to present to clients. This includes a completed, solved financial plan, new account/transfer paperwork for risk and investment, illustrations, Investment Policy Statements, proposals, Statements, feed lists, etc. for client meetings
Prepare and send Engagement Letters, Invoicing for the team’s Fee-Based Planning services, and Plan Delivery Acknowledgements, billing updates and general client follow ups
Maintain and track outstanding client items needed for planning such as homework, recent statements, pension estimations, in-force insurance statements etc
Prepare/create investment proposals using proprietary software and independent analysis software
Meet with clients to gather information to establish accounts or applications
Manage client review preparation and ongoing planning
Prepare or collaborate with others to provide all materials for plan and account reviews. This includes an updated plan, illustrations, Holistiplan reports, consolidated statements of assets and performance reports, etc
Track and update client progress / roadmaps within our planning software to continually update the client on what has been completed and what is next
Have a deep understanding of financial planning and process and the ability to carry forward special requests from clients as found in case notes/discovery and review meetings from advisor
Meet with clients, with or without advisor present, to be able to explain client financial plan, their portfolio, and/or recommendations and ongoing management
Complete all processes and paperwork necessary for establishing new accounts for new and existing clients for investment and annuities
Complete rollover calls with clients to move money from their current company to our firm, when necessary
Work with the investment team with any operations to carry forward any investment related administration, open accounts, move/distribute/request assets
Cross trained as a back up to the risk team, ensuring that risk based services, pending applications and client information remains in forward motion
Coordinate plan implementation with Insurance and Investment department personnel to open accounts and or insurance policies
As a small firm, anticipate adjustments to responsibilities and workflows
Develop relationships with outside resources such as analysis firms, wholesalers, and insurance brokerages

Required

Life, Accident & Health Insurance license
Series 7 and 63 (or equivalent)
Bachelor's Degree

Ability to maintain confidentiality
Ability to take independent action to make sound decisions with little oversight
Ability to assess client financial situations and analyze portfolios to develop and implement comprehensive plans aligned with client goals

Preferred

CFP (or pursuing) ChFC, CLU or other financial planning related designations
