Responsibilities
Support teams by prototyping digital solutions, developing assets, and identifying new creative capabilities that enhance workflow efficiency and output quality
Design, direct, coordinate, and produce visual materials for Mayo Foundation and Mayo affiliates in a variety of mediums, including digital and social assets, web design, electronic presentations, and multimedia products as well as printed work such as books, magazines, brochures, event displays, and posters
Provide design direction, prepare files for printing, image manipulation, and create workflows for optimization
Act as a high-level performer both in volume and level of excellence of work within the unit
Serve as an information resource for supervisors and management, keeping them abreast of latest technologies, techniques, and trends
Represent the unit by sitting on committees and task forces within the Institution
Participate with teams on larger, more complicated projects including inter-divisional projects
Qualification
Required
3-5 years of relevant experience in design, advertising, or a related industry
Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite and project management software (Workfront, Airtable, Asana etc., Workfront preferred)
Must have expertise in design thinking and systems and refined typography, be able to adapt and execute consistently elevated design, and be highly skilled in design problem solving
Should be comfortable working within established brand guidelines while continuing to find new and interesting ways to express the brand within those guidelines
Must understand and defend the importance of brand consistency
Candidates must be flexible, resourceful, curious, and possess strong project management and interpersonal skills to advance multiple projects simultaneously within the designated timelines
Preferred
Bachelor's Degree preferred. Advertising, design or design/UX concentration preferred
Agency or in-house agency experience is strongly preferred
An established portfolio of elevated design concepts demonstrating expertise in a range of creative mediums and large integrated campaigns
Previous experience in digital, video, rich media, UX/UI, motion, photography art direction, and emerging media
AI and automation workflow experience preferred
In addition to Adobe Creative Suite, Microsoft and Figma experience preferred
The ideal candidate brings strong expertise with the Adobe Creative Cloud suite, including hands-on experience using Firefly for generative content and Fusion to streamline and elevate creative workflows
