Responsibilities
Architect ESS products (12V–1200V)
Perform CAD, electrical, thermal, mechanical, and safety design
Coordinate BMS, PCS, EMS, etc partner integration
Manage and perform product certification, including UL 9540/9540A, UL 1973, UN 38.3, IEC 62133-2 (cell), MIL-STD-810/461/1275/704 (defense), and local AHJ permitting
Support prototype builds and deployments
Perform Energy Consulting: System ROI analysis with load & generation profiles analysis, systems sizing, back-up power, grid services integration, demand charge reduction, DER, and VPP integration, etc
Manage projects with customers and provide clear documentation, charts, graphs, layouts, etc. to help customers understand our proposals and for them to make decisions
Qualification
Required
5+ years designing energy storage systems
5+ years' experience in the C&I BESS market
Autonomous, self-starter who anticipates customer questions and needs and comes prepared with quality responses
Able to work long hours and help motivate the team, at least until we have sustained traction
Own system architecture and hands-on engineering execution of battery energy storage products
