Parts & Tire Coordinator
Premier Truck Rental (PTR) is a family-owned company that provides customized commercial fleet rentals nationwide. The Parts & Tire Coordinator plays a critical role in supporting the reconditioning operation by managing tire ordering, parts requests, and coordination across various departments to ensure efficient operations.

Responsibilities
Ownership of all tire and parts ordering for reconditioning, service, and body shop operations at the Fort Wayne location
The placing of tires in units or on storage rack when they arrive. Updating the scheduler with notes of when tires/parts ordered and received
Submit timely and accurate parts requests to Purchasing and monitor orders through delivery
Update scheduling systems with clear notes on when tires/parts are ordered, received, and installed to support production flow
Complete first-level invoice approvals in Dooap on behalf of reconditioning leads
Create, process, and maintain Purchase Orders (POs) and Dooap records for all tires
Aid in the development and management of the supply base
Assist in negotiating and settling issues with suppliers, including quality damage claims, rejections, returns, over shipments, and cancellations
Serve as the primary point of contact for third-party windshield replacement vendors, including communication, scheduling, and issue resolution
Handle communication and coordination for third-party interior repair services, ensuring work is scheduled, completed, and documented correctly
Collaborate and develop strong relationships while facilitating effective communication across the business
Engage with external business partners to ensure a seamless linkage of supply chain processes
Demonstrate high attention to detail, follow-up, and a strong commitment to customer service both internal and external
Support negotiation and problem-solving skills, including conflict resolution
Provide excellence in both internal and external customer service
Collaborate with internal teams to understand their needs and ensure a high level of satisfaction
Interact professionally with external suppliers, fostering positive and long-lasting partnerships
Qualification
Required
Minimum of 2 years of experience in automotive or related field
High school diploma or equivalent
Strong knowledge of automotive parts and components
Excellent negotiation skills to secure favorable terms with suppliers
Strong analytical skills to assess market trends and supplier performance
Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time management skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Effective communication skills, both verbal and written
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel
Strong problem-solving skills and ability to adapt to changing priorities
Commitment to continuous improvement and professional development
Preferred
Associate's degree in business, supply chain management, or related field
Experience with ERP systems
Knowledge of automotive aftermarket industry and trends
