District 7 - Administrative Data Analyst - GST051 -Administrative Assistant II (PG: G) - Chamblee, GA
Team Georgia Careers is seeking an Administrative Data Analyst for the Georgia Department of Transportation (GDOT). The role involves performing a wide range of office administration duties, including data compliance, customer service support, and assisting with various administrative functions.
Government Administration
Responsibilities
Performs a wide range of office administration duties for assigned functions or program areas, duties may be complex in nature and may involve access to confidential information
May research, investigate, and/or resolve program data or issues
Drafts documentation, reports, or presentations
Represents program or unit, provides information and assistance to internal and external customers
Provides a variety of routine non-clerical general business support functions for an institution, centralized district/regional office, a section/division of an office in an agency or a similar entity
Complies data for an array of administrative functions to ensure quality control and assurance with all data records or transactions
Coordinates district metrics
Reviews requisitions and account codes for discrepancies
Assists with reports of compiled information for management
Reviews accounting statements, invoices, quotes, or others information for accuracy
Ensures compliance with state customer service metrics
May also assist with customer service operations to meet goals or objectives
Other typical support functions include a combination of routine accounting (posting, reconciliation) and/or budget development and monitoring, personnel, and payroll transactions, purchasing and inventory, records management and/or related areas
May supervise a small number of clerical, technical, maintenance or other staff
May serve as an assistant to other higher-level managers
Qualification
Required
High school diploma/GED and three (3) years of job-related experience; or one (1) year of experience required at the lower-level Admin Assistant 1 (GST050) or position equivalent
Experience organizing and coordinating meetings, facilities, and information for staff members
Experience providing assistance and disseminating information to customers
Experience in receiving and responding to verbal communications in an appropriate manner
Communicates effectively with coworkers, supervisors, and other internal or external customers
Ability to communicate accurate information
Committed to providing quality customer service
Displays a high level of effort and commitment toward work and displays high standards of ethical conduct
General knowledge of interrelationships among department work units
Ability to provide guidance to internal and external customers
Demonstrated ability to do research and prepare reports
Possesses the ability to reason and independently select the appropriate resolution to problems
Ability to manage own time effectively; to adapt quickly to change; to occasionally perform repetitive tasks effectively
Preferred
Bookkeeping and/or accounting related experience
Experience as a data analyst
Experience with Microsoft Office Suite, Workday, and PeopleSoft Financials
Associate's degree from an accredited college or university AND One year of related experience OR Three years of related experience
