Responsibilities
Design, install, maintain, and evaluate network systems and communications systems
Gather user network requirements utilizing multiple methodologies
Provide necessary technical documentation, system requirements documents, and security requirements
Troubleshoot and resolve network issues involving various protocols, topologies, and networking hardware
Assist with network architecture design, feasibility, and cost studies
Apply technical and business experience to improve processes for deploying and maintaining network infrastructure
Work independently and collectively to help improve network solutions
Design, deploy, test, certify, and patch network components including switches, firewalls, and load balancers
Address interoperability issues for all features, components, and application dependencies
Participate in Program Increments (PIs) and Agile Release Train (ART) activities
Respond to and resolve critical network incidents within designated resolution timelines
Qualification
Required
Active Top Secret (TS) clearance with eligibility for Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI)
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Network Engineering, or related field
Minimum of 8 years of experience in network engineering
Experience with SAFe Agile framework
Strong understanding of multi-enclave network environments
Demonstrated experience designing and implementing secure networks in government environments
Advanced proficiency with network hardware (Cisco, Arista, SonicWall)
Advanced proficiency with network protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, HTTP/S)
Advanced proficiency with firewall configuration and management
Advanced proficiency with load balancer implementation
Advanced proficiency with software-defined networking
Advanced proficiency with VPN technologies
Advanced proficiency with network security principles and practices
Advanced proficiency with network monitoring and troubleshooting tools
Advanced proficiency with network performance optimization
Experience with cloud networking (AWS GovCloud, SC2S, C2S)
Experience with containerization networking (Docker, Kubernetes)
Experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform)
Experience with tunneling protocols (GRE, IPSec, SSH, SSL)
Experience with cross-domain solutions
Experience with network automation and orchestration
Experience with DevSecOps practices and tools
Experience with SAFe Agile methodologies
Must be a U.S. citizen and able to pass a background check and polygraph examination
Must be able to respond to critical network incidents within designated resolution timelines
Preferred
Relevant network certifications (CCNP, CCIE, or equivalent)
