Responsibilities
Design Leadership – Create conceptual and detailed designs for microgrids and distributed energy projects (single-line and three-line diagrams, layouts, specs)
Project Development – Define scopes of work, equipment requirements, cost estimates, and schedules that keep projects moving efficiently
Collaboration – Work directly with clients, contractors, and technology partners to solve problems and deliver results
Commissioning & QA – Support construction and commissioning activities to ensure systems meet performance and safety standards
Innovation – Stay ahead of emerging energy technologies and help integrate them into real-world projects
Qualification
Required
5+ years in electrical engineering for solar & energy storage systems design and construction
Bachelor's in electrical engineering
Strong foundation in distributed energy technologies (Energy storage, solar, microgrids, etc.)
Excellent problem-solving skills and comfort in client-facing settings
Advanced expertise in solar performance modeling and layout optimization (AutoCAD, PVSyst, Helioscope, PVWatts, GIS), balancing technical rigor with real-world project value
Preferred
PE license or ability to obtain within 6 months
Combination of power studies experience in CYME, ETAP, PSCAD or PSS/E is a huge plus!
