The role involves repairing and touching up damages on furniture products, maintaining productivity levels, and ensuring a clean work environment.

Responsibilities
Repair and touch up quick-fix damage caused in the warehouse, during delivery, or by vendors that need to be loaded and sent out the same day
Use methods and materials such as Burn-in Soft Fill, Bondo, dry powders for color, aerosol lacquers, shading lacquers, buffing fine scratches from dressers, nightstands, and tabletops, and gluing and clamping components
Perform repairs in a fast-paced environment requiring quick evaluation of damage and immediate assessment of repairs needed
Primarily work on the prep line for repairs, however, may be expected to work in the shop to assist with detailed repairs
Enter accurate records in MDC of all repairs, specifying if the damage was created in-house or by the vendor
Maintain and perform at the necessary productivity level daily
Maintain a clean and clear work environment, free from trip hazards
Qualification
Required
Excellent communication skills required
Requires heavy lifting
Ability to touch up, repair, and upholster furniture
Must be able to match colors and be familiar with using Mohawk or similar touch up products
Must successfully complete a physical assessment to be considered for the position
Ability to stand for extended periods, lift and move furniture up to 100 pounds, perform repetitive tasks involving lifting, bending, and carrying, use hand tools and power tools for repairs, maintain stamina and physical endurance throughout the shift to match colors, and perform tasks in a fast-paced environment
