Engineering Governance Leader

Responsibilities

Ensures alignment across functions, business units, and organizational goals
Drives consistency in decision-making and supports strategic priorities
Establishes a structured framework for addressing complex challenges
Facilitates the escalation of critical issues and the resolution of cross-functional conflicts efficiently
Fosters a culture of accountability by clearly defining roles, responsibilities, and ownership for key decisions and initiatives
Streamline processes, reduces redundancy, and enhances collaboration across teams
Leads to improved productivity and resource optimization
Proactively identifies, assesses, and addresses risks to ensure compliance and minimize potential disruptions
Facilitates the integration of new ideas, best practices, and technologies through cross-functional dialogue and alignment
Promotes open communication and ensures decisions are well-documented, shared, and understood across the organization

Required

Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 12 years of prior relevant experience
Experience in functional engineering or program management
Experience in change management, transformation, continuous improvement, or process improvement roles
Experience leading teams and enterprise-scale initiatives
Experience driving cross-functional transformation and improving process maturity

Preferred

Master's Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM)
Experience managing large teams in a technical capacity
Active Secret Clearance (Department of Defense)
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Proven ability as an engineering leader to influence change across hardware, software and systems organizations
Program Management certification or experience
Excellent presentation and proposal skills
Ability to manage multiple and competing priorities
