Senior LevelCandor PS is seeking a highly specialized POS Systems Engineer for a critical 6-month contract. The ideal candidate will bridge the gap between legacy retail infrastructure and modern data analytics, supporting, developing, and troubleshooting Walmart-specific POS Global Sales Applications and Terminal Sales Applications.

Responsibilities
Utilize C/C++ (1997 Compiler) to maintain and enhance retail controller and terminal code
Manage and support POS hardware, including Zebra DS8178 scanners, Ingenico Lane/7000 and isc250s PIN pads (Walmart Firmware), and Toshiba/Epson printers with MICR
Oversee process/system flows for 3rd party debit, Money Services Loading, and Western Union integration (wuTaio devices)
Navigate IBM 4690 and Toshiba SKY operating systems to ensure seamless POS performance
Deep-dive into TLOG strings and CTH to resolve transaction issues and register out-of-balance discrepancies
Manage core POS builds via the S.A.M. tool and utilize GCP BigQuery for data analysis
Qualification
Required
Proficiency in C/C++ (Legacy 1997 environment)
Deep experience with IBM 4690 and Toshiba SKY
Specific knowledge of Walmart GSA/TSA code and MART tools
Hands-on experience with Zebra, Toshiba, Epson, and Ingenico retail peripherals
Understanding of Money Services Loading (70 AC vs Check Cashing) and Money Order integrations
Experience with GCP BigQuery for reporting and analytics
Preferred
Previous experience specifically within the Walmart POS environment is highly preferred
Proven ability to troubleshoot complex transaction-level data and TLOGs
