Responsibilities
Provide SRE support to critical infrastructure in a Follow-The-Sun model
Offer rotational on-call support and weekend project work
Perform proactive health and hygiene tasks to ensure operational stability and compliance
Collaborate with engineering teams to test and certify new hardware and software products
Engage with clients to understand business demands and provide support during outage scenarios
Onboard new UNIX assets for growth or large programs such as new datacenter build-outs
Qualification
Required
6+ years of Unix/Linux Administration Enterprise Level Experience in large, distributed environments
Experience in Project Management, Incident & Change Management, and Reporting
In-depth knowledge of Linux (Red Hat) and good knowledge of Solaris
Detailed knowledge of TCP/IP and associated technologies (NFS, NIS, DNS, DHCP)
Expertise in Unix system monitoring and reporting
Knowledge of server firmware upgrades and time synchronization technologies (NTP/Time Keeper)
Proficiency in vulnerability assessment and server patching
Programming-level knowledge of Shell, Perl/Python
Strong troubleshooting skills with a focus on automation and resolution
Effective oral and written communication skills and the ability to work in a global team environment
Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks and high-pressure situations
Preferred
Knowledge of Infoblox DDI solution
Certification in RedHat Enterprise Linux
Knowledge of Veritas Cluster Server or similar high availability products
Experience with Ansible, OpenShift, Kubernetes
Expertise in Veritas Volume Manager
Prior experience working in the financial services industry
