Responsibilities

Supporting students’ academic and personal needs with the goal of improving Tulane’s retention and graduation rates
Leading and supporting key programs and initiatives
Contributing to the strategic planning and implementation of high-impact practices that promote student persistence, engagement, and success
Serving as a key collaborator in proactive outreach and intervention efforts for first-year and second-year students
Supporting TU Thrive programming
Facilitating training for faculty, staff, and student mentors
Enhancing the student experience and strengthening the university’s ability to support all students, particularly those facing academic or personal challenges

Required

Excellent oral and written communication skills, as well as the ability to interact cooperatively with individuals internal and external to the organization in an effective and courteous manner
Excellent organizational skills, the ability to meet established or anticipated deadlines, attentive to details, and able to handle multiple demands simultaneously
Working knowledge of various standardized word processing and spreadsheet preparation software applications
Ability to use the Microsoft Office suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Access, etc.)
Bachelor's Degree
1 year of relevant experience
High School Diploma or Equivalent
5 years of relevant experience

Preferred

Degree in a related field
Experience working in a post-secondary educational environment
