Responsibilities
Responsible for performing risk-based internal audits in accordance with Government Auditing Standards (GAGAS/Yellow Book) and IIA IPPF standards
The role focuses on evaluating governance, risk management, and internal controls; communicating results clearly; and supporting continuous improvement across the organization
Progressive experience in internal audit, including execution of audits aligned with GAGAS standards
Experience evaluating risks, internal controls, and compliance requirements
Experience preparing audit documentation and contributing to formal audit reports
Qualification

Progressive experience in internal audit, including execution of audits aligned with GAGAS standards
Experience evaluating risks, internal controls, and compliance requirements
Experience preparing audit documentation and contributing to formal audit reports
Working knowledge of Government Auditing Standards (GAGAS/Yellow Book) and IIA IPPF
Familiarity with the COSO internal control framework and government compliance requirements
Proficiency with electronic workpaper and audit management systems (e.g., Diligent)
Strong skills in Microsoft 365 tools, including Excel and SharePoint
Experience using data analytics tools (Excel, Power BI, ACL, IDEA)
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
Clear written and verbal communication skills
Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining professional judgment, independence, and ethical standards
Preferred
Certified Internal Auditor (CIA)
Additional certifications beneficial: CISA, CFE, CPA, or CrFA
