They are looking for a Drapery Finisher responsible for handling fabric draperies, sewing hems, inserting weights, and ensuring quality standards before production proceeds.

Responsibilities
Move racks of draperies from the tabling department to the end closure machine
Read work tickets carefully for special instructions and sign off as required
Handle draperies carefully and sew hems with a straight stitch on the end closure machine
Insert weights at each bottom corner and tape at the top corners of draperies
Ensure certain colors are sewn with cotton thread as required
Check draperies for defects; report issues to the supervisor or place in a hold area
Fold and rack finished draperies with the correct date card matching the work ticket
Maintain quality standards with errors less than 1%
Meet daily production quantity goals (70–100%, depending on workflow)
Perform other duties as assigned
Qualification
Required
High school graduate
Sewing experience; experience with industrial sewing machines
Ability to use and read a tape measure
General knowledge of fabrics
Ability to use hand tools
Successfully pass color blind test
Accuracy with names, numbers, and spelling
Capable of sitting for extended periods of time
Capable of lifting on a continuous basis
Strong attention to details
Follow written and verbal instructions
