Responsibilities
Design for civil and structural projects at power plants for today's leading energy providers
Design and analysis of concrete, steel structures, heavy load components and other equipment supports
Conceptual studies, cost and planning studies, design calculations, specification development, and seismic analysis
Develop 3-D analytical models utilizing FEA analysis techniques and response spectra seismic analysis
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Civil/Structural Engineering from an ABET accredited program
Minimum of 4 years of experience
Mathcad or MATLAB experience (MathCAD Prime as well as GTSTRUDL experience is a must for Senior level engineers)
Finite Element Analysis software (no specific one)
Previous design verification qual/cert with commercial nuclear projects under 10CFR50 Appendix B QA programs
Ability to perform piping analysis per ASME B31.1 as well as structural analysis is a plus
Ability to prepare and review documents for pipe supports, building structure modifications, rigging load evaluations
Steel per AISC Allowable Stress Design (known as ASD) approach (the older code years that commercial nuclear commonly uses)
Looking for modification engineers vs analysis
Experience with review qualifications and mechanical engineering
Anyone with lead experience on modifications would be great, but not required
