InternNorthwest Federal Credit Union is seeking qualified interns for their paid Summer Internship Program at their Corporate Office in Herndon, VA. The IT Desktop Support Intern will provide tier 1 user support and gain hands-on experience in IT support and administration.

Responsibilities
Install, configure, and troubleshoot computer systems, hardware, and software
Monitor system performance and troubleshoot any issues
Follow established procedures and processes for computer maintenance
Administering and maintaining information technology to support appropriate tracking and monitoring of systems that ensure data integrity, confidentiality, and availability
Performs other related duties as assigned
Remains cognizant of and adheres to NWFCU policies and procedures as well as regulations pertaining to the Bank Secrecy Act (BSA)
Qualification
Required
Must be enrolled in a credited university at the junior or senior level in pursuit of a degree in Information Technology, Management Information Systems, or related field
Average 3.0 GPA (transcripts required)
Ability to work on-site in our Herndon, VA headquarters for the duration of June 1st - August 7th
Ability to work the hours of 8:00am – 4:30pm Monday through Friday
Ability to use standard office equipment and systems; expertise with Microsoft Office suite of products, especially Word and Excel
Knowledge of network and system security
Familiarity with hardware and software installation
Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
Strong communication and customer service skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Ability to learn quickly and adapt to changing technology
