Responsibilities
Lead and mentor a small engineering team, providing technical guidance and career development support
Drive technical strategy and architecture decisions across the full stack
Manage sprint planning, code reviews, and delivery timelines
Stay hands-on: review pull requests, debug production issues, and contribute code in your area of strength
Establish and improve engineering processes, tooling, and best practices
Collaborate with product and leadership teams to translate business requirements into technical plans
Identify technical debt and balance it against feature development
Support hiring and onboarding of new engineers
Qualification
Required
5+ years of software development experience with increasing responsibility
2+ years of experience leading or mentoring other developers
Broad technical knowledge across the full stack—comfortable discussing frontend, backend, databases, and infrastructure, even if you specialize in one area
Strong experience with at least one modern backend language/framework (Node.js, Python, Java, Go, etc.)
Solid understanding of frontend development (React, Vue, Angular, or similar)
Experience with relational and/or NoSQL databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB, etc.)
Familiarity with cloud infrastructure (GCP, AWS, or Azure)
Strong communication skills—can explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
Experience with version control (Git) and CI/CD pipelines
Preferred
Experience with our stack: MongoDB, Node.js, React, BigQuery, GCP
Background in B2B SaaS or startup environments
Experience with data pipelines, ETL, or analytics platforms
Familiarity with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes)
Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies
